schwätzer's is a local german restaurant in seymour, indiana, proud of their german roots which build seymour from the ground up. they specialized in hand-crafted german cuisine and promote their heritage with nightly german classes. they needed a custom-designed food truck that incorporating the feel of beer/alcohol which is large in german culture without serving it, as well as staying true to their roots by incorporating their cuisine and history.
strategy
the goal was to develop a overall visual identity for the food truck that resonates with the restaurant's culinary style and ethos. this extend the restaurant's branding to the to-go containers, ensuring the visual elements seamlessly translate to the truck's compact canvas.

the logomark stems from one of german folklore’s mythical creatures - the wolpertinger. these animals includes deer, hares, and pheasants. the story goes that woodland creatures came together and produced mutant offspring which led to them becoming cultural symbols.
